Sofya Tsygankova is the wife of world renowned pianist Vadym Kholodenko.
She hails from Moscow, Russia.
Tsygankova is also a former pianist.
Allegations
On March 17, 2016 she was discovered by Vadym Kholodenko left bloodied in stab wounds in their Benbrook, Texas home.
Their two young daughters were also found dead.
The children, unlike their mother had no visible injuries.
Tsygankova was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
Vadym Kholodenko was not considered a suspect in the case.
On March 21, 2016 she was charged with two counts of capital murder in the deaths of daughters, Nika, aged 5, and Michela, aged 1. [8]
