After seeing Grouper perform a drone set, and later a rock concert of the Downtown Boys some time in the Spring of 2015, then 15 year-old Lindsey Jordan felt compelled to have a musical project as well. [3]

Lindsey recruited Alex and Ray and got all three began writing songs.

After two weeks of practicing, the band played their debut gig at a Maryland festival alongside punk bands Sheer Mag, Priests, and Screaming Females.

[3]She was asked to play by Angie Swiecicki from Baltimore four-piece Post Pink.

The band Priests were impressed with the band so offered to release their music through their music label, Sister Polygon. [3] [3]

In 2015, the band released their first song through Bandcamp called, "Sticki". During this period, the band wrote many of the songs that would be in their first EP, Habit. [17]

Style

Several publications such as The Fader and Pitchfork have described Lindsey's songwriting and the band's tempo and form as bedroom pre-college dream rock. [6] [3]

Patrick D. McDermott wrote the following:

"...a minimalist swirl of drowsy tempos, unassumingly meticulous guitar parts, and the sort of entry-level existentialism thatโ€™s too pure to be pretentious."

[3]

The band has performed several shows throughout the East Coast with many shows in New York already under their belt. [3]

Sexism

Since playing live shows at the age of 16, Lindsey has been a target of sexism and misogyny with men catcalling her while she performs on stage.

Habit EP

In July of 2016, they released the EP, Habit under the record label, Sister Polygon. [4] [13] [5]
