Snail Mail is an American Lo-fi"Suburban Slowcore"[6]pop project of Singer-songwriter, Lindsey Jordan along with members Alex Bass and Ray Brown. [12]
History

After seeing Grouper perform a drone set, and later a rock concert of the Downtown Boys some time in the Spring of 2015, then 15 year-old Lindsey Jordan felt compelled to have a musical project as well. [3]
Lindsey recruited Alex and Ray and got all three began writing songs.
After two weeks of practicing, the band played their debut gig at a Maryland festival alongside punk bands Sheer Mag, Priests, and Screaming Females.
[3]She was asked to play by Angie Swiecicki from Baltimore four-piece Post Pink.
Music

Snail Mail- Thinning.
In 2015, the band released their first song through Bandcamp called, "Sticki". During this period, the band wrote many of the songs that would be in their first EP, Habit. [17]
Style
Patrick D. McDermott wrote the following:
"...a minimalist swirl of drowsy tempos, unassumingly meticulous guitar parts, and the sort of entry-level existentialism thatโs too pure to be pretentious."
Sexism
Since playing live shows at the age of 16, Lindsey has been a target of sexism and misogyny with men catcalling her while she performs on stage.
