Smoke Hijabi (SmokeHijabi) was born in the United States and is of Pakistani descent. She spent three years living in Pakistan in her youth but moved back to the United States, only coming back for various trips. She eventually settled in Atlanta.

Smoke Hijabi (SmokeHijabi) met Xeno Carr through mutual friends and started collaborating on creative projects. They had a weekly vlog called iLOVEFRiDAY where they would post weekly videos every Friday. One week, they missed a Friday and decided to quickly make a music video instead. They released "Hate Me" on October 29, 2017. Although, the song faced negative feedback, their Youtube channel saw a massive boost in subscribers. Because of that, they decided to delete all their previous vlogs and focus on music.

Taking the name from their vlog, iLOVEFRiDAY would upload a number of music videos, the most popular being "Mia Khalifa," "TRAVEL BAN," "Woah Vicky (DISS)," and "Sauce it UP."

On September 27, 2019, iLOVEFRiDAY released Mood (EP). According to Rateyourmusic.com it earned a 2.93 stars out 5 stars rating.^[12] On October 25, 2019, they released a new music video called Mad.^[13]
