Andrea 'Andy' DelVesco (born 1994) was a senior undergraduate student at UCLA majoring in psychology and Spanish.

^[14]She was a VP of Fraternity Development at UCLA Pi Beta Phi sorority.

^[4]She is originally from Austin, TX.

She was arrested in June 2015 on charges of possessing ecstasy, LSD, methamphetamine, and hallucinogenic mushrooms with intent to sell.

^{[0] [0]}She was to be arraigned by the court in the weeks just before her death.

Andrea also played lacrosse for UCLA's club team.

On September 21, 2015, firefighters found Andrea's body in her burning Westwood apartment a block from the UCLA campus where she was pronounced dead at the scene, her body burned beyond recognition.

^[5] University of California, Los Angeles student Sarah Muhr got up early on the morning of September 21, 2015.

Her boyfriend was visiting from Northern California to celebrate her 21st birthday and she needed to drive him to LAX to catch an early flight back home.

Two men, Albert Hinojosa Medina and Eric Marquez, each 22, have been charged in relation to her death.

^[0]Further investigation revealed that she had been stabbed by Medina during a robbery and that she was likely deceased before the fire started.

^[6]The police investigation revealed that on the day of the fire, police was called to the scene approximately an hour before the fire because of complaints of screaming coming from the apartment complex Andrea lived in.

Law enforcement did not do a full check of every unit and decided to leave the scene (only to return shortly after the fire broke out).
