Skip Crumpler (born August 9, 1952) is a boxing trainer and cutman.^[13]

Crumpler was born in Wilson, North Carolina and spent most of his early years in that city. Wilson is in close proximity to Raleigh. He graduated from Darden High School in Wilson, North Carolina in 1973. He has trained boxers since 1977 and he also competed as an amateur boxer.

He moved to Harlem when he was 19 years old and that is where he took up the sport of boxing. He has worked for Shabbaz Computers. Crumpler is divorced and has children.

Skip is involved in all aspects of boxing.

He takes care of the day-to-day training and he also manages young professional boxers.

He also works as a cut man in the corner.

Skip is the "go-to guy" when promoters need an opponent or someone to fill in to make a show a success.

He works every weeknight with anywhere from 10 to 15 boxers and is on the road almost every weekend taking boxers to a fight somewhere.

Skip has worked fights as a cut man for professional boxers that have competed on HBO, ESPN, and Showtime. Crumpler works as a cutman for Michael Williams Jr. BoxRec listed 22 fighters from Wilson who had at least one professional boxing match in 2010 and 2011. Most of the fighters from Wilson are connected to Crumpler. He has explained his opinion of the "opponent" in boxing:
