Skarra Mucci (born 9 March 1973) is a Jamaican reggaeartist.
He is a self proclaimed "Dancehall President" in the title of his recent album 2016 album, and that may not be far from the truth as he is hailed by Reggaeville as the*"hottest dancehall artist in Europe". [5]* Mucci also goes by the title of Lyric Millionaire.
Dancehall President is considered his best work by many, where he followed in the footsteps of Cypress Hill in releasing a latin edition for the Spanish & South American market.
Mucci's ragamuffin style is unique and hard to categorise, incorporating influence from gospel, soul, dancehall, reggae, R&B and rap..
He has referenced his own influences as Yellowman Errol Scorcher and Dennis Brown.
Mucci has released 6 Albums and worked with the likes of Enter Loop.
Like truly sucessful hip hop and reggae artists he has an instantly recognisable voice like Method Man or Buju Banton.
He has shown some real originality in his videos too, in particular "My Sound".
The video starts off with him in the future reminiscing over dancehall classics.
Mucci is a refreshing dancehall artist delivering hard hitting lyrics without much reference to to Rastafari , religion or other issues covered in traditional dancehall.
One highlight is "Tour De Force" featuring Skarra Mucci from the Lentourloop album, "Le Savoir Faire".
[2] His most recent album "Skarra Mucci & the One Love Family" was released April 2018 and has an international cast including Jamaica's own Horrcae Andy featuring on the track "It’s For R eal".
[0]September saw the release of his single "Rock This World" on Magnitudianl’s album "Bass Attack" from Paris, France.
