Early life
Career
Following her participation the 1966 Miss Seiko Beauty Contest, Shu signed a five-year contract with Shaw Brothers.
She was initially type-cast and performed as a dancer in The Mating Season (1966).[2]
Shu continued her studies of the performing arts at the Southern Experimental Theatre. Before her graduation, she was spotted by director Hsu Cheng-Hung to play a supporting role in The Thundering Sword (1967). She went on to star in several other wuxia films.
