Shirley Schreibvogel
Shirley Schreibvogel
Shirley Schreibvogel born on May 17, 1934 is the mother of The Tiger King star, Joe "Exotic" Schreibvogel also known as Joseph Maldonado-Passage.[14]
Personal
Shirley Schreibvogel has been the owner and controler of now G.W Animal Memorial Foundation and Wayne Zoo before her unresolved death. She is loved and missed by all those who had worked with her, friends and family.
The Tiger King star, Joe "Exotic" Schreibvogel confirms in a court record that says Shirley Schreibvogel's death has never been adequately investigated. He also claimed his former partner Jeff Lowe immediately cremated her so that he could take ownership of the animal empire of Joe Exotic.
In the $93 million case he brought against the government earlier this year, Joe "Exotic" Schreibvogel makes this claim about his mother.
The lawsuit accuses two federal departments-the Interior Department and the Fish & Wildlife Services -of attempting to wrongly prosecute him on charges of murder-for-hire.[15]
Controversies of Her Death
Joe "Exotic" Schreibvogel believes that his mother’s death was a “murder by overdose.”
Among the grievances which he lists in his court filing is his mother's death, which he believes might not have happened if he was not in jail.
"The government is discriminating and mischievously prosecuting, resulting in the false imprisonment of [Joe Exotic] who caused the loss of personal property and who was the main caretaker of [Joe Exotic's] mother, Shirley Schreibvogel,"
He does not accuse anyone of murdering his mother in the lawsuit, but does claim that he feels its who benefitted the most from her death.
