Mulkey and her son were killed in a car crash on Christmas Eve 2017 by a suspected drunk driver identified as Jillian Pamela Ramsay. Ramsay was allegedly fleeing the scene of an earlier crash in Louisiana when she crashed into the car that Shelly Mulkey and her son, Ryan McCollum Jr., were riding in. [1]
