Colquitt's career has been marked with being an active member of her community. [2] She was a Playworker at City House where she helped provide emergency shelter and transitional residential services to at-risk children and young adults who are in need due to abuse, neglect or homelessness. [2] She is an Education Volunteer at Rise Academy, a non-profit that provides educational programs for young children with and without developmental disabilities. [2] Since 2016, she has has been a Radio Hoist at Pegasus Net Waves. [2]
In February 2013, Colquitt started Hope's Seed which aims to enrich live lives of children in Texas who are medically fragile and terminally ill. [2]
