Education
Walsh attended the University of Alberta and graduated with a BA in political science in 1994. She earned a MSc in international relations from the London School of Economics in 1995. [1]
Career

Early in her career, Walsh was the director of Venture Capital Relations at Microsoft and CEO of Innovative Social Ventures Ltd. [1] She founded two projects, MetaCert and the microfinance platform Shanti Life. [1] In addition she is currently a Board Advisor at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. [1]
Awards
Walsh has won several awards including the Asian Women of Achievement: Social and Humanitarian (Prince Charles and Cherie Blair) for her efforts on taking technology to developing communities in India and Africa in 2005, appeared in the Management Today Magazine 35 Under 35; Success Magazine and was listed as #5 of top most powerful Asian women in the UK in 2006, the award for Entrepreneur of the Year by Asian Woman Magazine and No 3 Ones To Watchโ section of the Asian Power 100 list, considered to be the most influential and highest achieving Asian women in Britain in 2007.
Personal Life
In her free time, Walsh is a yoga teacher and plays drums and dohl.
