Sharuna Sagar

Sharuna Sagar is a Presenter/Reporter for BBC Look North and focuses on stories dealing with arts and entertainment. [1]

Education

Sagar attended the University of Liverpool and studied economics and communications. She later earned her post-graduate degree in Radio and TV Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire.

Career

Sharuna's first break into television came as an anchor and video journalist for Channel One in Liverpool. She then moved to Birmingham and Carlton Television, and later went on to the Beeb at Pebble Mill where she made broadcasting history by being the first British journalist to read the news wearing a sari.

Sagar has been a presenter for BBC since 2006. [1]

Personal Life

Sagar is an admirer of David Bowie.
