Sevaun Palvetzian
Sevaun Palvetzian is one of Canada’s leading experts on Civic engagement and has been Chief Executive Officer of CivicAction since 2014.
She has held positions at the University of Toronto, the World Bank Group, and Presidential Classroom (in Washington,
D.C.) and was named one of Canada’s top 100 most powerful women in 2018 by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).[0]

Career
Under her leadership, CivicAction has launched the CivicAction Leadership Foundation (focused on building inclusive cities to change the face of leadership and on youth unemployment and mental health in the workplace).
During a decade of senior executive leadership within the Ontario Government, she implemented the award-winning Learn and Work Program for at-risk youth and lead the new Trillium Park at Ontario Place project.
Sevaun gets involved in her community by trying to solve many urban issues; she serves as a member of the Toronto Police Service Board Transformational Task Force, and of Mayor John Tory’s Advisory Panel for International Hosting Opportunities.
She also sits on the Board of Directors for NPower Canada, Waterfront Toronto, and is a member of the Ivey Business School Leadership Council.[1]
