Serena Winters (born September 27, 1988) [6] is an American sports journalist lives out of Philadelphia. She is the former host of The Bridge, a daily primetime sports Television (TV) show, airing on NBC Sports Northwest. [3] [4] [1]
Education
Winters graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's degree in communication, exercise, and sport studies. [2]
Career
Currently, Serena is a Philadelphia 76ers Journalist for NBC Sports Philadelphia. Prior to her role with NBC, she was the the lead reporter for Lakers Nation and part of the on-air talent team at Spectrum SportsNet. [3]
Winters career in sports journalism started as a broadcaster for 91.9FM in Santa Barbara where she transitioned from sports updates to both play-by-play and color commentary for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos men's basketball team. [3]
She interned for the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as the UCSB media relations department while she attended the university. [3]
She then went on to co-host a live one hour sports talk show for Santa Barbara Channels, where she often frequented Friday Night Fights interviewing boxers at Chumash Casino.
