On September 10, 2017, eight people were fatally shot including the gunman at a single family home on West Spring Creek Pkwy in Plano, Texas. ^{[6] [5] [4] [2]}

The Plano Police Department were called to the home for reports of shots fired shortly after 8:00 p.m. local time. ^{[6] [5] [4]}A responding officer confronted the suspect upon arrival, shooting and killing him. ^{[6] [5]} Two other victims were transported to the hospital. ^{[6] [5] [2]}All of those killed and injured are believed to be adults. ^{[6] [5] [2]}
