On April 27, 2017, after 30 hours of searching, the body of Semaj Crosby was discovered by local authorities and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents around 12:00 a.m. local time inside a home in the 300 block of Louis Road in Joliet Township, Will County, Illinois. ^{[1] [0]}

Her body was found stuffed inside of a couch in the home.
