Death of Sean A. Flowers III.

On July 31st, 2016, at 8:45 PM Flowers had an argument with the mother of his 4-month baby boy - she was screaming, "Give my baby back".

^[undefined] He exited his Glenbrook apartment ^[undefined] trotting with the baby in his arms to a nearby pond and submerged into the water chest deep, with the baby under the water. ^[undefined] The location where the baby was drowned is reported to be 75th Street and Northridge Lakes Boulevard. ^[undefined] Milwaukee firefighters attempted to unsuccessfully revive the baby. ^[undefined]

Eye-witness, Joey Griffin, called 911 immediately when he saw that Sean was running into the pond with the baby boy.

Griffin Says: "Without thinking -- I just ran into the water.

I yelled at him 'where's the baby?

Where's the baby?' And then I saw a baby floating in the water.

I grabbed it.

I tried to swim away with it.

He lunged at me and took the baby again and swam further, deeper.

We all lost.

We all lost this one.

Another witness and neighbor from the Glenbrook apartments, Robert Amstadt, ^[666666] describes that there was a crowd of people attempting to stop Sean from hurting the baby.

He says: "That baby cried all the way out into the water."

He says that there was another man who attempted to take the baby, but Sean snatched it back.  

Robert tied a few stuffed animals to a maple tree with ribbons and a string to remember the baby.

Other residents added to the memorial, while others started a separate one, with a teddy bear and candles.

Sean is being held without bail at the Milwaukee County Jail.

Police have referred the case to prosecutors who are expected to consider possible homicide charges early this week.
