Wrestling career

Kolvek began his career wrestling career in North Texas at Texas Wrestling Federation, which was formed by former Wrestler, Gary Hart (wrestler).

Kolvek started as Super Star Denny K, wrestling against many former World Class stars and those competing in the United States Wrestling Association in April 1999.

His first match was against Dude in Port Arthur, Texas in the same month.

After only a month with the Texas Wrestling Federation, Kolvek moved to Midland Empire Wrestling, operated by Steve Estes.[1] He was featured in Joe Posnanski's book in Kansas City Star (April 1999), explaining how he joined MEW.

Kolvek approached the relationship like a business deal, including his resume of wrestling experience and a videotape of past performances.

Estes stated in Posanaski's book that he liked Kolvek's approach and decided to give him a spot.

Kolvek then moved to Central States Wrestling, based in Missouri.

This was the first recorded time Kolvek used the name Schmack Daddy.[2] While competing, he won a number of titles.

His first title came in 1999 when he won the CSW Cruiserweight Championship.

After losing the title for a short period, he regained the CSW Cruiserweight title in 2000, becoming the only person to win the Cruiserweight title twice.

After success as a cruiserweight, Kolvek would win the IWF Midwest heavyweight championship in 2001.

His success at Central States Wrestling[3] saw Kolvek move to Championship Wrestling Association, while there, Kolvek held two prominent titles over a two-year period.

He became heavyweight champion in 2002, holding the title until 2003.

While heavyweight champion, he teamed up with WWF Hall of FamerSuperfly Jimmy Snuka and won the CWA Tag Team Championship with him.

Kolvek and Superfly Jimmy Snuka competed as a tag team at Wrestle Rock in June 2002.

Kolvek’s toughest and most memorable matches would be with the Iceman and Michael Strider.

He would wrestle both multiple times throughout his career.

Iceman was a technical Cruiserweight similar to Kolvek but also had the ability to brawl.

This would make for an entertaining match up every time they wrestled.

Michael Strider was a Heavyweight Brawler with a technical background.

The TLC match at Warriors for Kids is still talked about by fans in attendance to this day.
