Career
Scarlett joined the FOX 26 News (KRIV) team in September of 2015.
[1] Prior to her job at FOX 26 Houston, Scarlett successfully launched FOX 7 Austin’s first weekend morning newscast.
She anchored and produced her own two-hour show Saturday and Sunday mornings.
She has also served as the weekend anchor/reporter at KAMC-TV (the ABC affiliate in Lubbock).
As a reporter, Scarlett has covered several major stories across the Lone Star State, including the worst dust storm Lubbock had seen since 1977.
She was live outside for six hours straight in 30-45 mph winds, a stomach full of dirt, and a 23-car pileup behind her.
She is the daughter of Ali Akbar Fakhar and Kathryn Elder, thus, making her of partial Middle Eastern descent.
