Satish Jha is an early stage investor and entrepreneur who has seeded or mentored over 30 start-ups.

He co-founded, along withPrabhash Joshi, a national Hindi daily newspaper in India, Janasatta, for the Indian Express Group and was the fourth Editor of the prestigious newsweeklyDinamaanof The Times of India Group.

He also founded the first civil rights magazine in India, namelyPUCL Bulletinalong withArun Jaitley, who later became the law minister and finance minister of India.

In collaboration withNicholas Negropontehe foundedOne Laptop per Childin India.

He startedDigital Partnersin India that had seededSKS Microfinance, once the most successful Microfinance organisation in India that had distributed over $3 Billion in micro loans to the underprivileged villagers in southern India.

Solvytech he mentored has gone through Round C of funding with a valuation exceeding $500 million and has a brand name Zopper.
