Sara Kathryn D'Spain is a former school Teacher at Tivy High School. ^[1]

D'Spain is certified to teach pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, and is also a certified English as a Second Language teacher.

Up until May 2013, D’Spain maintained a personal blog under the name Kathryn Can. The blog was dedicated to the writing of her unpublished novel.

In her description, D’Spain states that she is a “Teacher of kindergarteners.

D’Spain also maintained a YouTube channel that was used for educational purposes as well as promotional videos about her novel.

She is married and has two daughters.

On September 21, 2017, D'Spain was arrested on accusations that she had an improper relationship with a male student.

She faces one charge of improper relationship between an educator and student.

D'Spain was booked into the Kerr County Jail on a $35,000 bond and has since bailed out. ^[1] Sara D'Spain arrest had been part of an ongoing investigation into two instances of educators at the district having sexual relationships with students. ^[1]
