Sandra Shaw (Journalist) is an American journalist who was born and brought up in the United States. Currently, she works at WPBF in South Florida as a meteorologist. Previously, before joining WPBF, She worked at WBAL-TV in Baltimore where she focused on weather and live feature coverages.[1]
Personal Life and Education
Sandra Shaw was born and brought up in the United States.
She got her Journalism degree from the University of Mississippi, where she also ran track and cross country. She’s worked in several TV markets including Raleigh, N.C. and Mobile, Ala.
She loves South Florida and she is active in her church and a variety of charitable causes.[2]
Sandra Shaw is married to Dimitri, an American businessman.
The couple tied the knot in May 2011.
Nonetheless, her husband is a very private person, despite the fact that his wife is a public figure, he prefers to live his life off the media eye.
The couple is blessed with one child.
They welcomed their firstborn, a baby girl in 2013.
Shaw had announced the news of her pregnancy on 14 February 2013 live on WPBF 25 News Mornings.[3]
Career
Sandra Shaw has been in the media industry for more than 20 years and has extensive weather and news background.
She has covered numerous hurricanes, including Katrina, Matthew, and Irma, to investigating fraud and hosting alongside TV legend Regis Philbin.
She has refined her weather chops, traveled to cover severe weather from snow to thunderstorms, with a special emphasis on hurricanes.
Sandra joined WBAL-TV in Baltimore in 2007. While working for the station, her main duties involved focussing on weather and live feature coverages, ranging from swimming with the sharks and the NFL training camp with the Baltimore Ravens, as well as hosting Triple Crown coverage of The Preakness.
Her news and weather background brought a unique versatility to her reports and weathercasts on the radio and TV.
However, she transferred to WPBF after working here for a period of four years.
Sandra Shaw joined ABC affiliate television station, WPBF on April 11th 2o11. She initially worked as the station’s noon meteorologist. Presently, The South Florida viewers wake up to Shaw’s weekdays on WPBF News Mornings at 4:30 to 7:00 a.m.
She gets the day off to a great start with her precise and high-energy Certified Most Precise Forecasts, which she also presents to WPBF News at 9 a.m.[5]

In her spare time, Sandra is a runner, tennis player, beachgoer, avid reader and writer.
In fact, she’s currently working on a series of short stories.
