Samuel Gibson was an athlete.
At 3 feet tall, he was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare genetic disorder in which bones break easily.
Gibson lived in Havelock North, New Zealand and hailed originally from Hawera, New Zealand.
He attended Hawera High School.
He was married to Jennifer Tomm.
In May 2016, Gibson died after a half-marathon.
He is thought to have fallen out of his wheelchair.
