Samantha Schmidt is Morning Mix reporter for the Washington Post. ^[1]

Samantha grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Wayzata High School. She went on to attend the University Of Indiana where she studied journalism. She graduated college in 2016. ^[2]

Schmidt interned at many outlets such as the Minneapolis-St.

Paul Business Journal, Dow Jones, Tampa Bay Times, and the Star Tribune.

She was an investigative reporter for the Indiana Daily Student as well as a Freelance reporter for the American City Business Journal and President of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists at IU.

After college, Samantha became a James Reston Reporting Fellow and the New York Times. In October of 2016, she was hired by the Washington Post to be there Morning Mix Reporter. ^[2]
