She was born and raised in the city of Saranac, New York for most of her life. [1] Her parents are Patricia and Todd Parrotte, and she has a sister named Dorothy Donohue. She also had a brother named Robert who passed away some time ago.
She attended graduated from Saranac High School and also from a New York vocational school called CV-Tec where she dedicated herself in learning about health. She received the Student Excellence Award from the school. In High School she played the sport of Volleyball and divided her time between both schools she attended. [1]
She is a fan of Lauryn Hill and Justin Bieber. [1]

For more than a year, since around early 2016, Patricia, Samantha's mother, began to get checked and tested for what began as a butterfly rash on her chest.
The rash spread to her face and body and for 10 months, she was battling triple negative breast cancer and dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease.
She was initially misdiagnosed by her doctor, who told her it was not cancer.
The readings came back negative because of how hard the cancer was to detect.
It was Patty’s dermatologist who discovered the grim diagnosis.
As her health dwindled, she worried that she would be absent or won't live long enough to
see her youngest daughter graduate high school.
She was being taken care of at the University of Vermont Medical Center where she was suffering from psychosis and delirium.
One of Samantha's teacher suggested to bring the graduation to her mother.
Many of Samantha's favorite teachers from both Schools were present at the ceremony inside of the hospital room.
Her mother was able to remain awake long enough to experience the ceremony.
According to reports, she died a few days after.
The ceremony at the hospital was video recorded by Dorothy, Samantha's sister.
Her family worried that Patty wouldn't be awake long enough, but she was able to fight drowsiness and see her daughter graduate.
