Samantha Paige is an American Artist known for her photo-documentary project called The Last Cut which documents a year when she opted for a double mastectomy as a way to prevent Breast cancer. [1] [undefined] She was part of Equinox' "Commit To Something" campaign as it was part of her own mission as an influential visionary. [undefined]
Education
Samantha graduated from Tufts University with a degree in 20th Century American History and African studies. She was a part of the Phi Beta Kappa sorority.
She would also attend Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies where she received her Master's degree in European Studies.
She lived in Italy for a year as an exchange student abroad at Lorenzo de' Medici Institute and Apicius Cooking School in Florence.
Career
She lived in Italy honing her skills as a artisan cook and he arts.
From 2001 to 2003 she was a researcher at Economist Adam Posen at the Institute for International Economics.
She created the jewelry and lifestyle brand, Adesso, which is found in over 60 retail stores globally.
Thyroid Cancer and Double Mastectomy
Paige is a survivor of Thyroid cancer and during the process of treatment she would later discover that she tested positive for the BRCA 1 gene mutation.
The Last Cut Project
She started the Last Cut Project as a way to document the year leading to her Double Mastectomy project.
