Samantha Heathwood is an Australian News presenterwho has been an integral part of Nine Entertainment Co. for the past 7 years. ^[6] [2]She is known throughout the Australian Media landscape for her years of contribution in the morning news segment in big cities such as Sydney and Brisbane. ^[3]In January 2019, during a live broadcasting she wore a green jacket that resembles the shape of a Penis and has since gone viral. ^[5]

Samantha is a native of Toowoomba, a place where she continues to live with her family.

She is an alum of The Glennie School. ^[3]

She studied and graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from University of Queensland in Brisbane. ^[6]

Right after graduating college in 2003, she get her first gig as a news reporter for WIN Television in the city of Rockhampton.

She would go on to work as a journalist and reporter for the next 8 years covering news in areas such as Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton.

She returned to her hometown in 2010 where she worked for the local news network.

She and her family would later move to Sydney where she began her work for 9 News, and presented the National Early News.

She also worked in Brisbane years after.

In early January of 2019, Samantha wore a Penis-shaped jacket on live television during her segment for the news bulletins.

Shortly after, the public began creating memes and making jests such as the fact that it was a "Dick Move" for the channel to make Samantha wear the jacket.
