Samantha Grant Markle is an American mental health counselor in the state of Florida. A former actress, model, and Filmmaker, Markle has worked in the movie industry for decades. Samantha was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008 and is now wheelchair-bound because of the condition. She is related to Meghan Markle and has often involved herself in the media regarding the high-profile relationship with Prince Harry as a person who has disclosed intimate information about her and half-sister's family. ^[1]

Samantha was born in 1965 in the state of California to parents Thomas Markle and Roslyn Markle. Her father is a retired filmmaker who worked in the movie industry for decades. She has a brother named Thomas. She grew up in the city of Los Angeles for most of her life.

By the time that Samantha was a teenager, her father and her mother divorced.

Her father then had another romance and marriage with a woman named Doria Ragland. The two had a daughter named Meghan Markle.

During her early 20s, Markle studied Filmmaking at the Los Angeles Broadcasters where she received her certificate in radio and television. Several of the skills that she learned and worked on was in Broadcasting, news, commercials, copy writing, and announcing.

In the early 2000s, Samantha earned her Bachelor's degree in criminology and psychology from University of New Mexico.

Samantha continued her education and earned her Master of Arts degree in mental health from Southern New Hampshire University.

She has also attended New Mexico Highlands University where she received her Master's degree in playwriting and screenwriting.

Since an early age, Samantha was taught certain skills need to be involved in the filmmaking industry.

She learned from her dad about photography and operating cameras for nearly 40 years.

In the early 1980s, Samantha worked several positions in the film industry in several projects and productions.

Toward the end of the decade, she would begin to take part in several film projects as an actor.

She would also become a model for print and other mediums.

In the early 1990s, Samantha worked for several production companies in the radio and television department.

She held several positions including the following: On- air talent,writing, commercial voice-overs, production, and editing.

She also researched, wrote news, conducted field interviews and on air interviews.

She worked for Citadel, 92.3 KRST, and Guardian Promotions.

Samantha is currently a mental health counselor in West Palm Beach, Florida for a company called Angels' Redencion LLC. She has worked there for nearly five years.

Since the moment that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their marriage, Samantha has also taken to the press to give her side of the story and of being a person who shared moments together growing up. ^[1] Several contentious information were disclosed concerning Markle's life which has allowed Samantha to offer her voice to the media.

Samantha first hit out at her famous half-sister after her romance with Prince Harry was revealed.

She says Meghan had always fancied Harry because she was ambitious to become a princess - and had a “soft spot for gingers”.

Samantha said the star of US legal drama Suits is a "social climber" who has barely spoken to her sister since she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008.

Samantha announced that she would release her memoirs and that her sister should prepare herself for some home truths.

It has been reported by the Daily Star that the working title for Samantha’s book is “The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister”.

Samantha also revealed exclusively to The Sun she’s planning to star in a reality show which she thinks would make for incredible viewing.

Samantha had changed her tune by October when she appeared on Good Morning Britain to dismiss the rumoured rift - and even described her sister as "lovely".

Samantha was quick to have her say on Meghan and Prince Harry's engagement, speaking to Good Morning Britain the day after the announcement was made.

When asked if she had a message for Meghan, Samantha said: “I just want to say I love you, I’m incredibly happy for you.

Cheers and to a wonderful life.

“If I had a glass of champagne I would toast, but it’s three in the morning and we don’t drink at three in the morning!" Speaking from Florida she said: "Well, it is true that I'm writing a book and the title is accurate, what is not true (is) this unbelievable swell that's been created that it's some sort of slamming ‘tell-all’."

During a stint as guest editor of the Today program, Prince Harry told the show "it’s [the Royal Family] the family I suppose that she’s never had.”

Samantha then wrote on Twitter: “Actually she has a large family who were always there with her and for her.

“No one was estranged, she was just too busy.

Meg’s family (our family) is complete with sister, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins and the glue of our family, our amazing completely self-sacrificing father.

"She always had this family, marrying merely extends it.”

After Meghan wore a £56,000 designer dress for her engagement photo, Samantha Markle, 52, said: "If you can spend $75,000 on a dress, you can spend $75,000 on your dad."

Their dad is bankrupt.

However, when speaking of the wedding, she added that she was still hoping for an invitation, despite news about the book.

She said: “It would be pleasing for us to be there and be invited.

But it’s entirely her decision.”

She blasted her half-sister on Twitter after claiming to have been snubbed from the wedding while members of the public have been invited.

Samantha tweeted: "Out of respect and humanitarianism, the Markles should be invited if 2,000 complete strangers are.

"Our uncle, brother, me, best friend of 30 years, nephews.

Our issue is not a matter of closeness.

Family is family."

She also changed her Twitter pic to the two of them when they younger.

Samantha lives in Miami Beach, and has been there for several years. She has lived in the West Coast United States, New Mexico, and New Hampshire.

In 2008, she was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis and has been in a wheelchair since.
