Sam attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. [0]He spent some time studying abroad at Oxford University. Sam graduated Summa cum laude with a degree in political science and philosophy in 1999. [5]He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2004. [5]
Career

Sam began his career as a Partner at Arrival Cinema and helped create a number of successful International films including Paris, Je T'aime, Edmond, and London Fields.
In 2006 he became the Executive Vice President & General Counsel at Artfire Films.
[5]Other media companies he has held leadership positions in include Demarest Films and the Lambert Media Group.
At Lamber, he was responsible for developing new investment opportunities and overseeing a portfolio of investments that include Rave Motion Pictures (sold to Cinemark), Gold Class Cinemas (sold to iPic Theaters), Concord Music Group (sold to Wood Creek Capital) and Village Roadshow Pictures. [4]As the Founder rand CEO of Demarest Films where he he produced or executive produced several acclaimed independent films and television shows. [4]For one year from 2007 to 2008, Sam was the Vice President of Bernstein Global Wealth Management with over $750 Billion under Management. [5]
In September 2015, Sam become an Advisor for the virtual reality company THE VOID.

Two years later in July 2017, Sam joined Mike Novogratz at Galaxy Investment Partners and serves as their Managing Director. [5]
