Sabato Russo was born and raised in the town of Foggia, in the south of Italy, Puglia region. He is one of the top Art / Design influencers in Italy with a 13742 audience and 1.77% engagement rate on Instagram.

Early life

Russo is well known among the cognoscenti of fashion today.

He resides in Bari.

Education

Sabato Russo attended a high school before leaving to Florence to continue his education, and then Milan to attend the Faculty of Architecture. It was in Milan that he met several fashion designers and thereafter began his career as a model. He's since walked the runways of the capitals of the fashion in Paris, Milan, New York, and Tokyo.

Career

According to Sabato Russo “Japan was a fascinating chapter for Sabato; its history, culture, and sensibility captured him completely”. After realizing that fashion was his passion, he started a collaboration as an assistant designer with Issey Miyake where he gained a lot of recognition and opportunities.

Sabato Russo and his wife moved to New York where his son was born and he began prestigious collaborations with local and international companies (Barneys, Kashiyama, G.Ferre, Fendi, etc.) He became the creative director at 'Sartorial Monk” in 2015. Today he lives between Milan and Puglia, and concentrates on his new project 'Sabato Russo.'

Sabato Russo was cast as a contestant on the new online TV reality show named ‘Making The Cut’. The show is majorly based on fashions designing and modeling. The show is judge by Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie, Joseph Altuzarra, Carine Roitfeld and Chiara Ferrentiate.

Interview

In one of the interviews, he was asked "What is your inspiration/style icon?” His reply was that design is primarily influenced by emotions:

"inspiration is everywhere for me, in nature, in people and definitely in my emotions which can set up a mood in my design.

Above all the “sartorialita”of the 30’s and 40’, keyword elegance.

My last collection was inspired by clark gable".
