RubyTrue (born 30/06/1984) is a Social media star who is famous for her Autonomous sensory meridian response RubyTrue Twitch.tv channel where she streams videos focused on sound therapy and ASMR. She also has a significant following on Instagram. She got into streaming before Twitch and even had a Justin.tv account, but really didn’t pay any attention to it as a real thing or career, it was more something she hopped on to with friends when bored. She also used Sticka. These were strange streaming times for her.
She discovered Twitch when her Xbox 360 suddenly had this app on it and she started finding entertaining people playing games she liked. She was spending her evenings playing League of Legends and thought she might as well stream it. She only had a laptop and a monitor at the time so it was a steep learning curve for her.
Starting off as an ASMR artis
“ASMR came about for a few reasons.
My viewers kept telling me I had a relaxing voice.
I was actually suffering at the time with crippling anxiety and depression and through my viewers suggestions I had started watching ASMR and to my surprise this crazy thing worked!
I felt calmer and relaxed!
I was also studying to become a Yoga teacher at the time and through this was learning the power meditation and mindfulness. It all started to link up with ASMR and sound for me. ASMR is amazing because it enables me to create interesting content that combines my interests of playing a character, body painting, and helping people live a calmer life.”
She said.
Some of her most creative concepts so far include a Cyberpunk ASMR role play, The Joker ASMR, and The Twins from The Shining.
She said she has a lot more planned and ready!
Although it is away from the make-up and characters, she is very proud of her outdoor ASMR and singing bowls.
Carrying her equipment out to the woods to create something truly unique.
She has also decided to choose her own adventure role play streams where the chat can decide where the character she is playing goes!
That was a lot of planning and stream deck buttons for her.

She found out it so easy to use and super helpful for helping her set up.
She said the bot is one of the best she has ever used over the years and currently working closely with StreamElements on some cool new features.
She said the reaction she got when she first started streaming ASMR was amazing.
She got so many emails from viewers about how ASMR has helped them.
She has even converted people into ASMR listeners because before Twitch ASMR had mostly been prerecorded video or audio only; Twitch having an ASMR section bought a new level of tingles and relaxation to viewers.
As an ASMR artist she has learnt to have a sense of humor about what she does and not everyone is going to get it.
She has also learnt that live streaming with super sensitive Microphone s can lead to some funny moments. She literally has had to mute the mics so many times to have the giggles.
