In 2013, Rose Wang founded Chirps, a cricket protein snacks company, while studying at Harvard with Laura D'Asaro and Meryl Breidbart.
She was inspired to start the company after trying a fried Scorpion while on a trip to China, and founding out how nutritious, protein rich, sustainable and tasty insects are.
Wang has served as the company's CEO since inception and pitched the company on Shark Tank with Laura D'Asaro.
Chirps ended up receiving a $100,000 investment from Mark Cuban.
[2] [4]Since 2016, Wang has been a Young Partner at Defiance Capital LLC, a venture capital firm that invests in LGBT and minority founded Companies.
[7] [7]While studying at Harvard, Wang interned with Microsoft, Hungry Fish Media, and Abercrombie & Fitch.
She also managed HSA Cleaners and The Harvard Shop through Harvard Student Agencies, managing an annual budget of $1.5 million.
Prior to attending Harvard, she interned with the Nashville Mayor's Office.

Rose Wang is passionate about education.
Since 2011, she has served on the board of Weyma Inc, a Kenyan education non-profit.
