Career
Ronke Adekoluejo [2] has an impressive resumé of stage and screen credits to her name.
She trained at the famous RADA drama school, graduating in 2013, and soon after, won roles in Suspects (Channel 5), Cold Feet (ITV) and the BAFTA-nominated Chewing Gum (E4) and NW (BBC).
In 2017, she had a memorable turn in Doctor Who (BBC), playing Penny in the episode ‘Extremis’ opposite Peter Capaldi’s Time Lord in the 10th season of this long-running science fiction show. Her stand out role came as Yvonne in BFI and Film4 musical feature, Been So Long (film), and she followed this with a cameo in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One as well as appearing as Katherine Dane in Disney’s biographical drama Christopher Robin (both 2018).
She is seen in the first season of Alex Rider (Eleventh Hour/Sony Pictures Television), a highly anticipated adaptation of the Anthony Horowitz YA novel series. Ronke plays in the series as regular Jack Starbright, teen agent Alex’s best friend and closest confidante. She has also just wrapped on Italian drama The Big Other for X-Filme and is currently shooting a role in an episode of an as-yet-untitled science fiction anthology series for AMC.
As well as acting, Ronke also writes (although she prefers the term ‘storyteller’).
Her play Teleportation formed part of Steven Kavuma’s This Is Black Festival in the summer of 2019, earning her much recognition and praise.
Personal
[3] Ronke Adekoluejo was born in America and lived in the United States. Her parents are from the western part of Nigeria. Ronke is a very personal personality and tries to keep her family out of the spotlight, but even with her effort, it is hard to neglect her Nigerian roots as she is seen on her social media (Instagram and Twitter) making Nigerian deliccies. Her mother who is also an actress has been Ronke's Mentor.
In an interview with [2] BAFTA, Ronke explains the role of her parents so far in her media personality lifestyle.
She said she received the right type of encouragement from her family and folks in pursing a career in acting.
She explained how she used to follow her elder brother (who happens to be in the Navy now) to stage theatres at the age of two. She has always been an inqusitive person and even from such tender age of two she was seen in most cases copying her elder brother wheb he rehearses.

She loves to write Poetry at her own pace and also puts alot of effort in her career. She is a strong woman who supports the Black Movement against Racism. She loves tocook and hangout with her close friends. She travels alot because of the nature of her job and also has a high fashion sense.
