He was considered to have been a prominent businessman throughout his life.
He was married to a Thai wife, Budsabong Thongsangka.

Parasailing Accident

On July 12th, 2017, Roger and his wife were at Kata Beach where Roger prepared himself to go Parasailing.
His wife then began to film him from the moment he gets ready all the way to the point where he falls 30 meters into the water, near the shallow area.
The man who sailed with Roger did not wear a harness and were then pulled by the boat that lifting their parachute high into the air above the water.

He was having difficulty breathing once he was pulled out from the sea.

Police Station duty officer Police Lieutenant Suwisit Khirirak told local media that Roger died moments later.
The couple were at a holiday in
Thailand's Chiang Mai, and had later traveled to Phuket.
