Robert Reames (also known as RR, born September 27, 1959) is an personal trainer, nutritionist, and author. He is the Head Fitness Trainer and Nutritionist on Dr. Phil*.*
He is the creator of the RR Lifestyle Transformation System.
Early Life & Education
Born and raised in northern Indiana. [1] He was overweight as a child, which fueled his passion for the fitness and nutrition industries. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Ball State University. He then moved from Indiana to Los Angeles, California directly after college.
He is a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He is also a certified nutritionist (CN) from American Health Science University (AHSU), and a certified personal trainer (CPT) and fitness nutrition specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
In 2016, he received a a Level 3 trainer/nutritionist certification from the TPI (Titleist Performance Institute ); his focus was on golf and sports-specific training and nutrition.

Since 2003, Robert Reames has been the Head Fitness Trainer Dr. . He has appeared on over 70 episodes. In addition, he is a nutrition and fitness contributor for Robin McGrawโs NY Times best selling book, Whatโs Age Got to do With It? and is the host of the Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Workout for Beginners DVD.
On March 7, 2006, Reames published his book Make Over Your Metabolism: 4 Weeks to a Faster Metabolism and a Fitter, Firmer You.
