Born Rachel Kame Inouye on June 11, 1994 in Honolulu, Hawai’i... parents are Susan and Cid Inouye... has one older brother, Jake... chose to attend UCLA because of the great athletic and academic opportunities, and because she really likes the coaches and the all-around atmosphere... hobbies include trying new kinds of food, going to the beach and playing beach volleyball... things she likes the most about volleyball are that it gives her a chance to get away from the craziness of life and to just play, and it’s also a great way for her to satisfy her need for competition in life... favorite academic classes are math and science... biggest athletic thrill of her career was winning a State Championship her senior season... favorites include singer Keali’i Reichel, actress Keira Knightley, the movie “Pride and Prejudice” and any kind of dessert... majoring in financial actuarial mathematics.
