He is a 1976 graduate of Kenmore West Senior High School. His father, the late Larry Glaser, was the founding partner of the original Delaware Motors and the Northtown Automotive Companies. He is married to Sonja Glaser.[11]

Career
Matchmaker Since 1992
He has been associated with professional boxing on a full time basis since 1992. He is a 1976 graduate of Kenmore West Senior High School. Glaser met boxing promoter Mike Acri in 1991 and he helped him get into the boxing business. Glaser is a promoter, matchmaker, agent and advisor, and also has provided sponsorships for many major fight shows throughout the world. Boxing writer Tim Graham, formerly of the Buffalo News and currently working for ESPN.com, coined the phrase “professional boxing businessman” in describing Glaser.[2][3]
Has Worked With Over 36 World Champions
Glaser has worked with over thirty six current champions, former champions and number one contenders in his career as a matchmaker.
He worked for former heavyweight champion Larry Holmes, matchmaking his fights on the USA Tuesday Night Fights series on the USA Network. Glaser worked for Don King of Don King Productions. In 2019, Rick Glaser worked with Top Rank, which is located in Las Vegas. He was on The Boxing Source in 2015.[13]

Believes Mayweather ducked Spadafora
Glaser believes that Floyd Mayweather ducked Paul Spadafora. He also believes that Luis Ortiz lies about his age.Glaser believes that Deontay Wilder is an overrated boxer. Glaser revealed in 2019 that the Premier Boxing Champions is in financial trouble.[4] In April 2020, Glaser stated that Paul Kroll will be a boxing champion.
Hall of Fame Induction

Rick Glaser was elected to the Ring 8 and New York State Boxing Hall of Fame in the non-participant category, class of 2020. Other elected notables in the category are president of the International Boxing Hall of Fame and boxing judge Don Ackerman, commentator Max Kellerman, and writer Bobby Cassidy, Jr. The induction ceremony and dinner was supposed to be held on April 19, 2020 at Russo's on the Bay in Howard Beach,Queens. However, the event was postponed due to the global coronavirus pandemic. He was finally inducted on September 19, 2021.[12] In 2010, Glaser was inducted into the Buffalo Boxing Hall of Fame.[10]
