Richard Sperrazza is a racehorse owner and breeder raised in Croton On Hudson, NY. He is the grandson of racehorse owner Giacomo Cordaro. He worked as groom for trainers John C. Kimmel, Linda Rice, and Gary Contessa. He was Gregory Sacco assistant for a short amount of time. He currently runs and operates his own breeding operation in Wooster, Ohio with his multiple graded stakes winning stallion Greek Sun. His horses are trained by Eric Reed.

Richard Sperrazza (101st/1-502 IN) served in the United States Army as an Infantryman and has a Purple heart, Army Achievement medal, and Afghanistan Campaign medal with Campaign Star. ^[1]

He earned the Purple Heart for military merit and for wounds received when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
