Richard Harvey Jorgensen was the head coach of the girls' softball team at The Woodlands High School. Jorgensen led the Woodlands High team to a state championship in 2011, and the team had been a perennial state title contender since.
Allegations
Jorgensen was wanted on a charge of sex assault of a a child.
He disappeared after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Police say he was in a sexual relationship with one of the players on his team.
Death
In April 2016, Jorgensen was found dead in Port Arthur, Texas from an apparent suicide. Police believe he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head from a.270 caliber rifle. Port Arthur Police found his body by pinging his cell phone. [17]
