Guiness World Record
Richard built an Iron Man-style flight suit. This suit allowed him to reach speeds of 51.5km (32mph). During the record-setting event, he made three attempts, falling into an Estuary on the third try. [1] The minimum distance required to break the record was 100 meters. There had previously not been an official Guinness world record.
The suit was made up of six Kerosene-fuelled micro gas turbines, each with 22kg of thrust. The movement was controlled by human body movement alone; there was no Remote control used to steer the suit.
