Rich Hoffman (Meteorologist) is an American meteorologist and Weather Forecaster working as a Morning and Daytime Editions Meteorologist for News 12 Long Island. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.[1]
Personal Life
Rich Hoffman was born in 1972, in Babylon, New York, United States. His information about the exact day and month he celebrates his birthday is not yet available. He is 48 years old as of 2020.
While experiencing childhood in Long Island in the Town of Babylon, Hoffman wanted to go to the seashore with his family. The weather consistently assumes a job in whether his family would hit sea shore top choices like Cedar and Gilgo Beach. [12]
So when Hoffman was nine, he was following the weather frameworks.
He immediately built up an affection for forecasting.
Subsequent to moving on from West Babylon High School, Hoffman traveled north to satisfy his fantasy about being a meteorologist.[13]
He loves to be outdoors, whether it’s skiing, biking or hiking.
Hoffman has run in more than 10 Marathons, completed more than 20 triathlons and finished the Lake Placid IRONMAN (Swim 2.4 Miles, Bike 112 Miles, Run 26.2 Miles) in 2008.
Rich Hoffman is a happily married man.
He got married to his wife Brittney Cundari in 2016.
Education
Rich Hoffman attended and graduated from West Babylon High School. He graduated from the University at Albany, SUNY in New York where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric science and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Geoscience from Mississippi State University.
Career
Rich Hoffman started his TV career in 1996 at WNYT (TV) in Albany. From that point, he moved west to WETM in Elmira, New York.
Before getting back home to News 12 Long Island, Hoffman worked at and New England Cable News (NECN) in Boston and WGGB-TV in Springfield, Massachusetts. Since working at News 12, Hoffman takes a gander at things from an alternate perspective. Hoffman fires his day by getting up at 2:30 a.m. in the night when its pitch dark. At that point, it’s an ideal opportunity to prepare to be grinding away by 3 a.m. to set up the weather forecast and weather maps which you see each day on News 12.[11]
Hoffman earned the renowned American Meteorological Society’s Seal of Approval while in Burlington. Hoffman earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologists (Seal #190) from the American Meteorological Society in 2006. Hoffman is an individual from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Hoffman has been an aide Professor at Farmingdale State College, since 2005, instructing Introduction to Meteorology. Hoffman’s PC information design ability and dynamic energy for weather make him an important resource for the individuals of Long Island.
