REV. ENGR. DR. MICHAEL CHIDIEBERE ARIMANWA
REV. ENGR. DR. MICHAEL CHIDIEBERE ARIMANWA [HND {PolyNek}, B. ENG (Hons), M. ENG, PhD{FUTO}; MNSE, MNICE, C.ENG, FCAI, FIIA], hails from Obazu Mbieri, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State. He is happily married with three (3) children and currently the rector of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo state.[1][5]
EDUCATIONAL
Rev. Engr. Dr. Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa started his primary school at W. T. C. Primary school, Enugu in the year 1971 and obtained the first school living @certificate certificate in the year 1976.
He started his secondary Education at College of Immaculate Conception Enugu in the year 1977 and was transferred to Government Secondary school, Owerri where he obtained his West Africa School Certificate (WASC) in the year 1982. Rev. Engr. Dr. Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa as a man whose strong desire to acquire Knowledge cannot be question, he proceeded to the College of Technology Owerri (currently Federal Polytechnic, Owerri) where he obtained National Diploma in Civil Engineering in the year 1984 and later obtained his Higher National Diploma in the same school (then Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri) in the year 1987. Still on the quest for more knowledge, he proceeded to Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State where he obtained Bachelor in Engineering in the year 2000. Other certificate obtained were M. ENG in Structural engineering and PhD. in structural Engineering in the year 2006 and 2015 respectively[2][2]
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
He is a COREN registered Civil Engineer with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Engineering (M.
Eng.) degrees in Structural Engineering.
Also have both the Bachelor of Engineering (B.
Eng.) degree with honors and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering, A corporate member of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Administration of Nigeria and Institute of Industrial Administrators. Have been a Chief Lecturer in Civil engineering Department, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri since 2011, also served as Dean School of Engineering Technology, as Director Monitoring and Evaluation Unit and as Acting Director, Works and Services Division. He has been serving as a Consulting Structural engineer for the Physical Planning and Procurement Unit of the institution since 2006. He also served in several other capacities as indicated here. He has several research articles published in peer reviewed Journals and have attended conferences/seminars/workshops and presented papers, a goal-driven/result-oriented leader with the ability to maintain a productive atmosphere by mobilizing, motivating, and mentoring subordinates to achieve organizational goals. He has a strong Polytechnic background. [1]
