Rene Moran Is an American actor known for his roles in CHIPS, How to Get Away with Murder and Battle Creek.

Early Life

Rene was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador. After his first birthday, he and his mother, Griselda, fled to Los Angeles escaping the enduring realities of a civil war. [1]

At age four, they moved again, reuniting with Rene's father in sunny Orlando, Florida. He is the oldest of three siblings and the proud son of working class parents.

He dealt with some personal struggles in his high school years, under the guidance of his mother and made a tough decision to leave his family.

Career

At 20, He had no purpose, no plans for his life and little education, he was restless and without direction. His mother convinced him to take a chance and move to Los Angeles, California with the hope of discovering a better life. With no looking behind, he packed his bags and headed west. [2]

Soon enough, he found a job with the entertainment industry answering phones for talent agents, managers, entertainment attorneys & casting directors.

Rene soon realized that he wanted a stronger foundation in acting, so he dove into acting classes.

This granted him a chance of meeting a film director who invited Rene to audition for a role in his feature film, Stiletto.

To his surprise, he beat out hundreds of other young actors and landed a role that kicked off his acting career.

After this, more acting opportunities on television dramas such as Lie To Me (opposite Tim Roth), Battle Creek (opposite Josh Duhamel), and Major Crimes.

Movies Roles

Rene has also appeared on sitcom television series Dr. Ken (opposite Ken Jeong), The Odd Couple, and Bad Judge.

His recurring guest star credits include shows such as Shameless (Showtime) and Switched At Birth.

Guest star appearances on How To Get Away with Murder (opposite Viola Davis), S.W.A.T. (opposite Shemar Moore).

In 2017, he appeared in his first studio film produced by Warner Bros. entitled Chips, performing opposite Michael Peña and Dax Shepard.

In 2019, he appeared in his next studio film, produced by 20th Century Fox called Stuber, he stars opposite Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani. Rene can also be seen in independent films, Icebox and Flavor of Life, both currently in post production.
