Rebecca E. Mason-Cales was a former German / History teacher at Mountain View High School (Idaho) residing in Boise, Idaho. In February, 2018 she was arrested on six felony counts of sexual battery of a minor child after she allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Rebecca Mason-Cales is originally from Denver, Colorado and attended Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colorado. ^[1]

In July, married her husband Steven Mason-Cales. Rebecca enjoys travelling and has visited many places in Europe including England, Scotland, and Germany. ^[1]

In 2015, Rebecca Mason-Cales graduated from Boise State University with a German, Secondary Education degree and a minor in History. In 2013, she participated in a study abroad program at the Universität des Saarlandes in Saarbrucken, Germany. ^[1]

Rebecca Mason-Cales started teaching at Mountain View High School (Idaho) in Meridian, Idaho two years prior to her arrest. She taught German and History to grade 10 students at the high school.

Rebecca previously worked at Clothesline Cleaners from June-August, 2014 in Boise.

She worked as an AVID Tutor in Boise from January, 2013-2015.

Rebecca also worked at Craft Warehouse from April-September, 2012.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2018 Meridian Police arrested Rebecca Mason-Cales for allegedly having sex with a student, according to a press release from the department.

Rebecca E. Mason-Cales, 26, of Boise, was booked into the Ada County Jail and faces six counts of felony sexual battery of a minor child.

According to the release, the West Ada School District received an anonymous e-mail outlining a possible sexual relationship between Mason-Cales and a student.

The information led the district to contact the Meridian Police Department who launched an investigation.
