Huggins married Ian Huggins, a police officer for from the Statesboro Police Department, on February 14, 2018.

Death

On Sunday April 1, 2018, Rebecca allegedly shot and killed Officer Huggins, who then killed herself, in a suspected murder-suicide at their home.

At 2:36 a.m. officers were called to a report of shots fired at Copper Beech Townhomes.

Upon arrival they found Officer Huggins, who was off duty, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Moments after officers entered the residence, Huggins' wife, Rebecca, took her own life by shooting herself in the head.
