Early Life
Ray was born in Key West, Florida. He is of Cuban descent and began his career in New York City, before moving to Los Angeles. He grew up with an older sister named Lusana.
Career
Ray Diaz is an actor who began his career as a model in New York City. After landing a national Macy's commercial, he was signed with Wilhelmina Models, which led to him being the face of many popular brands such as Calvin Klein, Cosmopolitan, and Reebok.
Ray soon shifted to Los Angeles to take up acting as well.
He is best known for his role of Nicholas Reyes in the series, ‘East Los High,’ which is a reality and drama TV series.
In 2017, Ray joined Jake Paul's Team 10, but he has since left the group.
Arrests
Law officials arrested the actor in June 2018 on domestic violence charges.
According to sources, he got into an argument with his girlfriend, Landi Hicks, and it turned physical.
Allegedly, he grabbed the young woman and pulled her so hard that it created scratches and bruises on her neck and leg.
When Hicks attempted to call 911, he grabbed the phone from her.
She then tried to use an Amazon Alexa to dial the police for her, but he unplugged the device.[9]
Two days later, Hicks filed a police report, and the officials took pictures of her injuries.
They then arrested Diaz for domestic violence and then released him on $50k bail.[9]
Ray was arrested again in Los Angeles on July 12, 2019 on suspicion of sexual assault, with his underage ex-girlfriend claiming Diaz physically and emotionally abused her.[10] Angelica Salek, a 17-year-old actress, and model who was in a year-long relationship with Diaz, claimed the much older Florida-born man was emotionally and physically abusive after they began dating when she was just 16.[10] In an interview earlier this month, Salek shared videos of a man she claimed was Diaz telling her to kill herself and threatening her with violence.[10]
