Randy graduated from Harlingen High school, in Harlingen, TX.

^[0] He captured the Texas Class 5A state title in the 300m hurdles as a senior, running 36.87s.

Randy also placed third in the 110m hurdles in 14.00s.

^[0] His PR in the 300m hurdles of 36.46s from his junior season ranked fifth-best in the United States at the time.

Randy placed third in the 400m hurdles at the 2011 New Balance Outdoor National Championships.

Finished 21st in 400m hurdles with a 52.66s at NCAA West Qualifiers on 5/24 ^[0]

2014

Randy Competed in both the indoor and outdoor season as a sophomore...He opened his indoor season at the Cherry & Silver Invitational in Albuquerqe by winning the 400m hurdles for the second consecutive year with a time of 52.41s.
