Raina Aliev was a transgender Muslim woman from Dagestan, Russia.

[0]Raina was previously known as Adam.

Before she transitioned she would wear girly clothing and her friends described her mannerisms and voice to be feminine as well.

When Aliev graduated high school she moved to Makhachkala, then eventually to Moscow where she earned money working at nightclubs.

After she met the love of her life, she decided it was time to proceed with her sex change.

Upon transitioning, Aliev's father suffered from a stroke and her family disowned her.

Controversy and Murder

Raina's father, a devout Muslim, announced on television that his daughter should be executed in front of him.

[7] [9]Days after Raina got married and she was brutally murdered shortly after.

[0]Authorities haven't identified the killer, however Raina's body was found completely dismembered and butchered.
