Rachel "Rae" Pomeroy was a 20-year-old student at Washington State University. She originally hails from Monroe, Washington and graduated from Monroe High School in 2014.

Rachel aspired to be a pediatric nurse and was an active participant in her local CrossFit community. Her boyfriend was Jack Ray. Rachel is remembered for having a huge heart and for always looking for ways to help others.

During the afternoon of January 8th around 4:30 pm, Rachel was driving eastbound on State Route 26 just west of Washtucna, WA when her car collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. She was later pronounced dead by the authorities. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
