Rachael Longridge was a 21-year-old nursing student from Edmonton, Canada.

Rachael is a recent graduate of the University of Alberta and studied nursing. During her time in nursing school, Rachael worked at Moxie's Grill & Bar in Edmonton. ^[1] Rachael graduated at the top of her nursing class and was slated to work at Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute shortly after the new year.

Fellow students, coworkers, and peers alike saw Rachael as an excellent student who was passionate about her nursing studies.

Many of them rarely say Rachael without a smile on her face.

On the afternoon of December 23rd at 4:30 pm, Rachel was murdered by her mother, Christine Longridge, at their home located at 122 Avenue and 132 Street in Edmonton. Christine was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon. Police are investigating the incident. ^[1]
